I just thought I would take a minute to let you know that we have already delivered our first Online Help system using the WebWorks ePublisher. This week, one of our products was being released to our Training server. We intended on sending this phase of our Online Help system out using our old tool (RH). I wanted to wait until I created a template and had time to train the team. But the errors that were being thrown by RH were taking too much time, so we ran the user guide through ePublisher Express and in less than 5 minutes had a deliverable Help system. This was done without any adjustments to the FM book.
With my demanding schedule these days, I couldn’t be happier that I made the decision change to WebWorks ePublisher. My team is thrilled and so relieved that they never have to use RoboHelp again. It is amazing to all of us how easily WebWorks works with FrameMaker, and how RoboHelp (owned by the same makers of FrameMaker) has so many glitches and problems. We actually had to plan on 2-3 days of our time to build a clean version of the Online Help. Now, we can plan an hour.
